This 106 page typescript manuscript has been given to the historical society by Dave Charlton. It was prepared by a class of Writing Michigan History at Central Michigan College in 1949, for an audience of future elementary students.
Nobody in the society has done an exhaustive study to determine the accuracy of the history herein presented. In fact, it is our judgment that the document will in all probability reveal more about its authors than its subject.
We invite you to peruse this document and perhaps often your response as to what we can learn from it, both about our region and these students writing about it more than half a century ago.
